Join us on weekends when our dining room opens to the public and becomes the setting for our elegant prix-fixe four-course candlelight dinner. Famed throughout Charlottesville, Virginia, dining at Prospect Hill is a celebrated culinary experience. Our creative menu, with a distinct European character, is influenced by the season and the availability of fresh, local, and organic ingredients.

Commencing with our iconic wine reception around the baby-grand piano, the plantation bell announces the 8:00 p.m. start of a four-course repast that will challenge your idea of fine dining. After the innkeeper introduces the evening’s menu and offers a simple blessing, warm bread is ushered to your table and the experience commences. Relax, turn your palate loose, and relish the distinctive dining and leisurely fellowship that define Prospect Hill, all while being pampered by our most pleasant and attentive staff. Many lasting friendships have been forged while feasting on gourmet cuisine in our 175 year-old dining room, and our chef is routinely summoned from the kitchen to answer guest’s questions, divulge secrets, and share tips.

Our prix-fixe, four-course dinner is available each Friday and Saturday evening at
8:00 p.m. Reservations required; $125 per couple.

Artfully prepared by our chef and kitchen staff, our Plantation Dinner Baskets incorporate the finest seasonal and local ingredients (as available). These three-course meals-for-two are presented in an over-sized picnic basket and delivered right to your cottage door. 48-hour notice required.
