This private cottage suite has a sun-filled sitting room and a small sun deck overlooking the pool. There is also a covered porch off the bedroom.  The private bathroom has a double Jacuzzi tub, and there is a fireplace and lounge chairs at the foot of the king-sized bed.  The B&B rate for this cottage suite is $395 per night and optional four course prie-fixe dinner is available most evenings at $49 per person.

The Overseer's Cottage dates to the 1720's when Rodger Thompson, the original owner of Prospect Hill, built this for his bride and was later used for many years as the plantation office and overseer's house before it was refurbished in the 1920's as the summer residence for Miss Hope Thompson, the first president of the American Women's Bar Association who added the first bathroom and sitting room since she did not think it was proper to entertain guests in her bedroom.
