The ca. 1699 Boys' Cabin, is the oldest and smallest building on the grounds, featuring exposed log walls, working fireplace, cedar walled and ceiling modern bathroom with double Jacuzzi tub/shower, queen-size bed, and a deck overlooking the swimming pool, perfect for al fresco breakfast in nice weather. The B&B rate for this cabin is $295 per night with optional dinner available most evenings at $49 per person.

This log cabin dates to the late 1690's and was the original building on the property and is the oldest original dwelling in central Virginia. It got its name when the original settler, Roger Thompson, married in the 1720's  and built a larger home (now called the Overseer's Cottage) for his bride, a widow with sons who slept in the adjacent original log cabin.
